Devon
Devon es un condado situado en el sudoeste de Inglaterra, que limita con Cornwall al oeste y con Dorset y Somerset al este. El nombre Devonshire se utilizó durante un tiempo aunque en la actualidad ha caido en desuso y se utiliza sólo para algunos nombres oficiales como el de Duque de Devonshire. Su capital es Exeter.

Condado administrativo (pob., 2001: 704.499 hab.), geográfico e histórico del sudoeste de Inglaterra.

Se encuentra entre Cornualles, Dorset y Somerset, y sus costas dan al canal de Bristol y al canal de la Mancha. Exeter ha sido su capital por largo tiempo. En esta región están los páramos de Dartmoor, habitados desde tiempos prehistóricos y actualmente una concurrida zona turística. Su principal actividad económica es la ganadería; todavía se produce la renombrada crema cuajada de Devonshire.
